Bottom Driven Piling

We recommend bottom driven piling for applications where the ground is poor, and deep foundations are not possible. The piles are constructed by pile driving close-ended thin walled steel lining tubes using a cylindrical drop hammer operating within a casing striking a dry mix concrete plug. They are driven to predetermined depth depending on specification. Single bar or cage reinforcement is then added at the bottom, and the casings filled with concrete.

Advantages:

  • economical
  • There is low noise and low vibration impact on the environment
  • No spoil needs to be removed
  • Minimal site preparation is needed
  • It can be installed into most ground and applied where some other techniques are inappropriate
  • Permanent casing prevents any risk of concrete/grout loss thus ensuring pile integrity
